Veera (Bir Paul)
Registered Clinical Counsellor
Veera is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#17576) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) providing therapy in both English and Punjabi. She is passionate about helping individuals access their resilience and recover and thrive from difficult life experiences.
Veera provides therapy to children and adults. Her areas of focus include anxiety, depression, relationships and trauma. She primarily uses Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Play Therapy when working with children. She offers a safe, warm and non-judgmental presence for clients to express themselves freely and loves to share coping skills and mental health knowledge so clients feel empowered both in and outside of therapy sessions.
Veera completed her Master of Counselling Psychology degree from Adler University specializing in supporting children and adolescents, and completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of British Columbia (UBC). Veera is an approved provider for the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) and ICBC.
